My name is Hans Egold. I work in the Department of Chemistry at Paderborn University. Many years ago I habilitated in the field of inorganic chemistry, but as life goes, I ended up working in NMR spectroscopy. I’m not a proven expert in this field who can just develop a new pulse sequence, but I have more than 20 years of experience in its application.
This blog was created because there are very few user-orientated blogs in this field. Glen Facey’s blog, by far the best, will unfortunately not be continued after his well-deserved retirement.
This blog is all about NMR: interesting publications, links to useful websites, useful pulse sequences and their applications, unusual spectra, nice ordinary spectra, etc.
This blog is meant to convey the fun I still have as a simple user after all these years. If there are errors in my posts, you are all welcome to point them out so I can correct them.
It will be a while before there is a sufficient amount of material available here. I still have to learn how to work with a website.
I hope you enjoy reading it and perhaps find it a little surprising.
